FIELDING PROCESS

We use the wet felting technique, an ancient method. We work the wool using only hot water, neutral soap, and a manual and mechanical fulling process.

SHEARING

Selected sheep from local flocks are sheared using natural processes that do not harm the animal.

WASHING

Thorough wool washing done with hot water to remove all organic remains

CARDED

The fragments of sheared wool are stretched, carefully separating the fibers by hand without cutting them, until they acquire a soft texture and low weight.

YARN

Using a spindle and spinning wheel, the carded wool fibers are twisted until a thread of the desired thickness is obtained. The spun wool can be wound into equal loops to create a skein, which will also be washed with soap and water.

HAD

Wool is dyed by boiling it in water and using natural products, fixing the color with substances such as salt, vinegar, or copper sulfate. This method allows for the creation of different products in various shapes and colors.

FELT

This first transformation yields felt blankets that can be used to make various products: slippers, hats, vests, bags, rugs…
